How much do your kittens cost?

Unfortunately due to cost increases of breeding we have had to raise the price of our kittens just to stay in the black, and we do this at cost. Our kittens now cost an average of $3250, and will range from $2500 - $4500.

When will you have available kittens?

Our girls prefer to have kittens in the colder months and earily spring, so kittens will generally be available to go home in the spring and the summer.

How can I reserve a kitten?

To reserve a kitten we will require a $500 nonrefundable deposit. The deposit will be refunded only if something inhibits the sale of a kitten on our end, such as illness or accidents.

It is highly recommended to sign up for the first pick waitlist, which requires an advanced deposit of $500 as not a lot of kittens are usually left over after the first pick list has chosen their kittens.

How does your waitlist work?

Our waitlist options have changed. While I still take advanced deposits for those eager to get a kitten from me, I am largely opening waitlists for specific litters. A $500 deposit is required to be on the waitlist. Should you opt out of the litter you initially chose, you will go into the advanced deposit waitlist.

Kittens usually go very quickly once they are of age, and being on a waitlist is advised.

What health tests do you do?

We use a Wisdom Panel or My Cat Scan on all of our breeding cats, both of which tests for many different genetic health markers, including the most important tests of HCM, SMA, and PKDef for Maine Coons, and our breeding cats will receive echocardiograms, and hip grades when recommended by a veterinarian, and very importanly, are carefully observed by us on a daily basis as they live in the house with us as pets.

What is SpaySecure?

SpaySecure is a service we use that acts on behalf of the cattery to ensure kittens are not used for breeding and are spayed or neutered according to the contract.

Do you have a contract?

Yes, we have a sales contract that protects both buyer and cattery. In brief, the contract stipulates you don't take your cat ouside unless they're in an enclosure or on an attended leash, and that you take good care of the cat. The rest of the contract outlines the health guarantee, which boils down to 7 days of infectious disease coverage if the cat is properly quarantined and didn't become infected at the new parents' house, and lifetime coverage for DNA screened diseases as shown by the parent's DNA tests through Wisdom Panel or MyCatScan, and the terms and conditions which activate the health guarantee, and its limits.

What payment methods do you take?

We accept Paypal Friends and Family, Venmo, or cash. We can also accept Zelle for deposits.

How will I get my kitten?

We will meet you at an agreed upon location in Ulster, Greene, or Albany County.

Do you allow visits to your cattery?

We do not allow visits to the cattery for the safety and health of our cats and kittens, but we are happy to video chat with you with the available kittens or the kitten you are interested in as well as the kitten's parents. We can arrange virtual visits via Zoom, Facetime, or Facebook Messenger, but please be aware that we do not sell kittens on Facebook or any other social media, thought I may answer your questions on such platforms.

Can I adopt a retired breeding cat?

Some breeding cats can be adopted at retirement. These cats will be placed on our "Available Cats" page, which will be visible when we have available retired cats. Cats can be retired for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to age, a temperament that doesn't match our program requirements, spraying, or minor or major health issues that make them unsuitable for breeding, all of which will be noted upfront in any listing and to any inquirers.

Do you sell breeding cats?

We occassionally sell breeding cats to registered breeders.

How do you support domestic cats and wild cats?

With prices rising and everyone's wallets tightening and wanting to pay less for cats, we've had to temporarily abandon our Snow Leopard support donations, but we hope to resume those in the future.

We donate to Alley Cat Allies on a recurring basis.

Do you sell on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok?

We do not sell kittens or cats on Facebook or any other social media. It is against their terms of use. We only use Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for networking and sharing photos and occassionally answering questions.
